Bond No. 9 The Scent of Peace Review

The Scent of Peace was my very first Bond No. 9 fragrance I’ve ever tried (I’ve also tried – and loved – Chinatown and Fire Island) and it’s given me a good – make that great – impression of the brand already… I am dying to try out more of their scents!

The Scent of Peace is an uplifting citrus floral scent; notes include grapefruit, black currant, lily of the valley and musk.

I’ve read tons of reviews and comments on this fragrance and some claim that it is so similar to Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue; that you should save your money and get Light Blue. And in my opinion, this does smell very much like Light Blue, but less ‘airy’ and little more stronger – I think that’s the blackcurrant in it. Other than that, the dry down smells almost identical to Light Blue – oops!

Either way, I like this scent a lot – it is fresh, airy, but there is also an air of sexy and depth to it. I even had a few compliments on it already, which is always nice!

The Scent of Peace was the winner in a top 5 finalists for 2007 Fragrance of the Year FIFI Award and sells for $130 for a 50ml bottles, and $195 for 100ml.
