Clinique really hit the jackpot a few years ago when they launched the Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Color Balm, a lip color packaged in a chubby little crayon. They are super cute, incredibly easy to use, and the formula; fantastic. I think I’m on my 9th Chubby Stick, and I highly recommend them.
So it’s probably no surprise that today we also have the Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes and Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm, easy to use cream eyeshadow and cream blush that you just swipe on, and blend with your fingers. I love and use them both (although the original Chubby Stick for lips are still my favorite of the line), but that may change soon.
I saw the Chubby in The Nude Foundation Stick in a magazine advert a few days ago, and I got SO excited to see this new release. Maybe more than usual.
Why? See, the thing is – I believe that the mask-like, full-face foundation look is slowly becoming so… old fashioned.
Beauty today, with the rise of quick-fix, easy to use products from brands such as Glossier and Nudestix, is all about beauty that is easy, simple, and most of all, naturally you. This has always been my personal beauty philosophy, and I am so glad it’s finally “in fashion”!
For awhile now, I’ve been using a concealer stick – currently Nudestix’s stick concealer – to simply hide redness or anything that needs to be concealed on the skin, and leave the rest bare. I prefer this for my personal makeup because it gives my skin a natural look, and a less caked on look, so I am anxiously awaiting for the Chubby In the Nude Stick Foundations to hit Singapore!
Here’s what they say:
Portable perfection for full-face coverage, or bare-minimum touch-ups. Creamy, moisturizing foundation stick blends easily. Builds from sheer to moderate coverage with a natural finish. Long-wearing. Oil-free.
Oil-free too?! Ahh!
Just think – a quick swipe on the areas you need (blemishes, redness around the nose, etc), and blend with your finger tips. You’ll be out the door in no time. And if Clinique’s foundation formulas are anything to go for – they make 2 of my all-time favorite formulas – then I know this one is gonna be another winner.
