Hall of Fame: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer

I write this just as I’ve come back from a weekend trip with my friend in Bintan, Indonesia, to celebrate my birthday. Sun, pools, beaches and Karaoke nights (one night, we found ourselves on stage, her singing and me playing guitar). It was a blast!

And I also came back with a new love for my favorite hot-and-humid-and-sticky-weather moisturizer: Clinique Dramatically Different Gel.

I’ve been using it religiously now, and each time I love it more. I actually discovered it a year or two ago while I was on vacation in Phuket, Thailand. I got a sample of it (I love Clinique and am always at their counters, hovering around), and because I am “scared” of breaking out, I used it as hand cream first.

I remember by the end of the trip, I realized that my hands looked and felt great – it was like my skin just drank it all up! So I eventually tried it on my face. That formula proved to be a little too rich for my face, but I saw they had an oil-free, gel version, and switched to that recently, and it’s just perfect.

If you’re looking for the perfect moisturizer that suits well in hot, humid, beach weather – try Clinique Dramatically Different Gel moisturizer. It is non-greasy, non-thicky and goopy, super easy to apply, leaves skin feeling extremely soft, and if you’re the kind to break out in hot weather, there is a very good chance you won’t break out with this. I mean, my skin break outs with everything, and there’s not even been a hint of a blemish with this one.

What’s also good is that it’s a big pot and is pretty cheap, so you can use it to moisturize other parts of your face that may get dried out from the weather such as your earlobes (yes, your ears!), neck and décolleté… and if you want, your hands and cuticles too!

As far as the other beauty stuff, I only really brought another beauty/summer must have: My favorite Light Blue perfume.
