First Look: Edible Beauty Australia

I was first introduced to Edible Beauty last year, a simple and chic Aussie natural skincare brand that claims to be good enough to eat (don’t do it, though!).

I started with Edible Beauty The Core Four, a collection of their 4 best products and a complete luxury toxin-free skincare routine to start off with.

Edible Beauty The Core Four

Here’s what it included:

  • No. 1 Belle Frais Cleanser, A gentle coconut milk based cleanser which included, of course, coconut oil acts as a base to remove impurities and leave the skin fresh, radiant and hydrated.
  • No.2 Citrus Rhapsody Radiance Tonique, a mist that is said to tone, uplift and boost radiance. Includes a unique blend of antioxidant filled fruits and herbs.
  • No. 3 Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum. Hyalouronic Acid and Beta Glucan provide smoothing and plumping actions to the skin, while antioxidants like. Kakadu, Davidson Plum and Edelweiss are said to help reduce fine lines and promote collagen production.
  • No. 4 Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion, a lightweight and hydrating moisturiser containing cocoa and Shea Butter provide a burst of hydration.

My Experience

OK, before I go on – my skin is super sensitive, and the common misconception is that sensitive skin needs natural/organic products, but that’s not really the case.

You can be allergic to natural things – you can be allergic to peanuts, apples, as you may know – so in my opinion, parabens and preservatives aren’t really THAT evil.

That being said, this range gave me a little bit of reactions, especially the serum.

But that doesn’t mean I won’t recommend it. I can see the ingredients wise, this is a stellar and luxurious natural skincare line, and if you’re looking for natural skincare, this is a great one to try out.

Because the truth is, what does not work for me may work for you, and I really love their products in a sense that the ingredients all look great. It’s a shame my skin reacted to it, though.

My favorite of the bunch? Definitely the Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion, which my skin liked the best – it felt stunning on the skin, and so moisturising.
