La Roche Posay is a French pharmacy skincare brand that just works, and their Hydraphase Intense Eyes, is no exception.
Seriously, pick up any product from the brand, at random if you want, and I am sure you’ll love it.
As someone who is just starting to get into anti-aging skincare regime – I was told just yesterday that you should start at 21, which I agree with, so I’m a little late – this is actually my first real foray into anti-aging.
(The other one was testing out this famous anti-aging serum, which is I should get a bottle of soon.)
Living Up to Its Claims
I got Hydraphase Intense Eyes from a friend who was visiting France. I wanted an eye cream and trust the la Roche Posay brand – and I can honestly say that rejoice! A product that actually lives up to its marketing claims.
Their claim of “anti eye bags” and “anti fatigue” is on point. It’s really working to de-puff and make the under eye contour look so much more smoother and I look more awake, if you will. It’s super hydrating, moisturising properties will also benefit the under eye contour in allowing skin to move easily with facial movements, so that fine lines and wrinkles won’t settle into it.
Its gel formula is a joy to apply, and sinks deep into skin fairly quickly, and feels so cool and refreshing, too.
The Perfect Starter Eye Cream
In fact, I would say it’s the perfect starter eye cream.
Apply it morning and night with your ring finger, and if you have very puffy eyes in the morning, I’d say to even keep it in the fridge. Yes, the fridge! Keep your eye cream in the fridge and the apply it to the under eye and even on your puffy eyelids – the cold will also help reduce the puffiness. Massage gently, and before you know it, puffy eyes are gone.
The eye cream is also great as a first eye cream because it’s also quite, affordable and of great value overall. I’m so glad I picked it up. You know I love French pharmacy brands, and this is just another reason why!
La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Yeux is a hall of fame for me, for beginners and for those wanting a fuss-free, actually-works eye cream to reduce puffiness and make you look a bit more refreshed.
I say it’ll be perfect for ages 21-25, and then from 25 years onwards, look for not just to moisturize under the eyes, but treating it with more potent ingredients such as anti-oxidant and even retinols. (Which, look out for – there’ll be much more anti-aging on the blog from now now.)
