I originally wrote this post almost 2 months ago, and was thinking of deleting it ’cause I thought no one really cared about hairspray – but boy, how wrong I was!
After reading a whole feature about this cult classic product, I realized that this hairspray was not sold in the US and every one’s been dying to try it out! In fact, Allure says: “The maddening fact that it was difficult to find Elnett in the U.S. has been part of the spray’s appeal.”
L’Oreal Elnett hairspray was the first styling product I ever bought and used (and to this day, it’s still the best hairspray I’ve tried). It’s everything you would expect from hairspray, and I’ve never felt the need to change.
In fact, I see how much I’ve been taking it for granted – it just works, and I never really thought about how good it really was. The only real time I need Elnett is to set my hair when I do an undo for special occasions (I don’t do much on my hair usually) and it really is amazing how this fine mist has such strong hold and staying power. My hair always stays in place, looks natural, never stiff and is soft to the touch.
What’s even better is that if are too lazy to wash your hair after and just want to sleep (guilty) just take a brush and comb your hair – the hairspray completely disappears.
In other words, I have nothing bad to say about L’Oreal Elnett hairspray, really: It’s cheap, works wonders, and lasts the bottle lasts for a long time. I highly recommend it. I read it’s used by all the top stylists on the catwalks, too. It’s a bit tricky to find as it’s only in selected drugstores, but you can buy it online at Amazon.
