Tinted moisturizers and BB creams, especially, are nothing new these days – any beauty gal will know that. But what about the original BB cream?
What they say: “I formulate my ‘original BB cream’ by combining my balancing day lotion + 100% pure mineral cream color to provide lightweight, flawless coverage while balancing the oil production of all skin types. it provides all the benefits of my balancing day lotion in versatile shades that match a multitude of skin tones. – Suki”
My experience: I was delighted when I first tried out Suki Tinted Active Moisturizer, because for a while, many years ago, this was hyped up like crazy. And it seems now that Suki is definitely acknowledging it with the “original BB cream” title the product has now. First of all, let us not kid ourselves; Suki is the real deal. (And I do believe the “original BB cream” title.) The ingredients in Suki Active Tinted Moisturizer are all organic and natural, and includes organic grape seed, jojoba seed oil, organic sunflower seed oil, and organic rose extract. The brand prides itself in making every product in small batches by hand, allowing the best formula possible.
However, one thing I have to point out is that there must be great emphasize on the word moisturizer. Because if you’re looking for coverage, I don’t think this will be it. Let me explain: Yes, this does give a nice, natural color to your face, and yes it makes your skin look flawless. (The color I tried was Porcelain.) And if you were to tell people you weren’t wearing any makeup, they’d definitely believe you because it looks out-of-this-world natural. That being said, if you have any pigmentation, zits, or redness… this will probably not cover much. Therefore I must emphasize that it is a tint. The color is every so slight and the coverage is extremely natural.
Overall, I do like this product. I think it’s really good. It’s a bit too expensive for me, so that is my only gripe, but I do think it’s worth the price – it provides great moisture and the coverage is light, natural, and most importantly, safe for your skin.
