I was first introduced to Aussie mineral makeup and natural self-tanning brand, Vani-T, just a few months ago while freelancing at an Aussie owned salon, and I am so glad I did.
Lipglosses will never go out of style in my opinion. While matte and ruled the land the last few years, I am slowly starting to see the return of lip glosses, and Vani-T lip glosses are definitely one to add to your makeup bag.
Talk about underrated – I constantly used quite a few of their makeup items, namely their foundation, eye pigments and powder blushes (Tibetan Ochre is one of the best blush shades I’ve ever seen); but the stand out for me has got to be their gorgeous lip glosses.
What it is
Aptly named the Vani-T Mineral Lip Glaze, as far as formula goes, it’s pretty standard: it’s 100% pigment (mica) plus a glossing agent. There’s not much info about it, except they say it’s organic and a mix of Aloe Oil and Vitamin E. And while the formula is decent – good, even – for me, the colors are what makes it incredible. They are beyond stunning.
I’ve applied the Vani-T lip glosses on all sorts of women at the salon, on all sorts of occasion. Weddings, parties, graduation, light skin, deep skin, teens, mothers, grandmothers even… the colors looked beautiful on all of them.
Perhaps it’s because the brand is mostly a self-tanner brand and has that “sexy, bronze” image, but the colors are undeniably influenced by it. The colors have just the right amount of sparkle for a natural, sexy summer, and the colors – I frequently used Goddess, French Kiss and Glamarazzi – are the perfect nudes to plump up your lips and give that sexy, plumped up look – like a real goddess. For some reason, I’m getting a supermodel Gisele vibe from these colors.
Either way, if you’re looking for a glossy, sexy nude lipgloss, look no further. A Half of Fame for sure, and I’ll try getting some swatches when I go to the salon next.
More bonus points: it’s 100% cruelty-free, and there’s a buy 1, get 1 free promo on their website.
