Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask Review

If it’s not obvious by now, I’ve been on quite the skincare kick recently, now that I’m getting older and I feel I’ve “settled” into the other areas of beauty; namely hair and makeup.

I know what I like and what suits me in those areas, but if there’s one thing I have yet to experiment a lot on, it’s skincare.

(And fragrance, I will never stop loving those, but more on that another day.)

I recently obtained a sample of Zelens Transformative Renewal Mask as a gift with purchase, and I was so excited.

I have heard the praises of the Zelens skincare line and was eager to try out anything, simply anything from the line. Masks are something I love in theory, but have never really tried myself just yet.

Here’s what they say:

An unparalleled anti-aging mask developed by Dr. Marko Lens for his tailor-made “Red Carpet” facials.

Encourages skin renewal with immediately visible results. Powered with a potent complex of high-performance ingredients, this advanced multi-action mask hydrates, energises, replenishes and revives the skin. Skin appears softer, firmer and smoother with a noticeably youthful glow.

Active ingredients include Hyaluronic acid, yeast extract, marine glycogen, seaweed, multi-functional lactobionic acid and Vitamin C, amongst others.

My Experience

The Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask is super simple.

It feels like a thick, yet very fluffy creamy texture – a little like this moisturiser actually – so it’s a joy to apply.

It applies like a dream all over skin – whether you want to make it a thin layer, or a thick layer, it’s easy to do. The formula itself is very well, transformable, and has little to no scent, so it won’t distract too much.

After applying all over my face, I decided to read other reviews online while waiting, and they all echoed the same thing: whilst the company says to leave on the mask for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water, many say 15 minutes does nothing.

So I decided to try the 15 mins, and then leave it on for over and hour the next time.

Hang on a Minute…

Sure enough, when I used the mask for only 15 minutes, I was underwhelmed.

My skin was moisturised, and while it felt nice and soft, sure, it didn’t seem to do much else. Meh, I thought.

The next day, I tried it out again and left it on for an hour (maybe a little more) and that’s when I got really excited: I adored the result.

The whole “Red carpet facial” thing rang true – my skin looked like it was lit from within – it was plumped up, looked brighter and fresher, and it had a gorgeous glow. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the skin looked!

It was like I had an Instagram filter on, even though that sounds ridiculous. But it really did “transform”, and I loved the results, and would recommend it as long as you keep it much longer than 15 minutes.

In fact, I reckon you could even sleep with this mask on, and it would look even better!

Bottom Line

Think of the Zelens Transformer Instant Renewal Mask as a shot of skincare benefits – it will give skin that much needed boost when needed, or apply it 3 times a week ’cause long term, regularly exposing your skin to that cocktail of amazing ingredients can make those results permanent!
